Stachys byzantina

Lambs Ears. Silver, woolly leaved plant good for ground cover. Furry spikes carrying small purple flowers are produced in the middle of summer. Low growing spreading foliage, but flower spikes will reach 40cm in height. Foliage can get untidy so best trimmed back near to ground level in early winter. Needs well drained soil to reduce rotting of hairy leaves, and loves full sun or some shade.
