Nandina domestica

Decorative bamboo-like shrub with erect stems. Leaves are green, tinged purple-red in spring and summer. White flowers in terminal panicles in summer followed by red berries. Any well drained soil in full sun. Height 1½m. Best in sheltered position with little wind.
