Magnolia Black Tulip

A relatively new hybrid from New Zealand, with deep purple goblet shaped flowers on the bare branches in spring. This colour is more intense than M. 'Vulcan', which is one of the parents. Grow in acid soil rich in organic matter, in sun or part shade.
