Eryngium variifolium

Sea Holly. Grey-blue flowers with spiny collars on erect stems in July and August. Small rounded rosettes of handsome evergreen leaves which are toothed and shiny with conspicuous white veins. Well-drained fertile soil in full sun. Height 40-45cm.
