Clematis x aromatica

Non-clinging herbaceous clematis. Small purple-blue star-shaped flowers with creamy-white centres, June to September. Vanilla scented. Support or allow to scramble through other plants. Any moist, fertile soil in sun. Height/spread 1-2m. Cut to 15cm in February and remove all old growth.
