Vitis (Grape) amurensis 2/3L
Very cold hardy grape species from Manchuria. More tolerant of wetter areas than other grapes. Generally grown as an ornamental, the large leaves turn fiery red in autumn. Usually dioecious meaning plants are either male or female, with only the latter producing fruit. Hermaphrodite forms are known but as yet we don't know what we have. Fruits are 8mm in diameter and black. When ripe they are sweet and may be eaten raw or used for wine, jellies, jams and so on. May grow to 20m.
