Deciduous shrub of great architectural quality. Huge, slightly felted, deeply lobed leaves to 90 cm across. Fairly hardy but may be killed to the ground in cold winters. Suckering but controllable. Grow in humus rich, well drained soil, in full sun or part shade. Height 2m.
