Flowering Currant. Semi-evergreen to deciduous shrub with reddish bristly stems and fruits. Early in leaf and flower. Beautiful slender fuchsia-like flowers of rich red borne in pendulous clusters in March and April. Any soil in sun or shade. In cold areas grow on a warm wall. Height 2m.
