Hardy, deciduous shrub with leaf colour changing throughout the season. In spring the foliage is green with paler margins, slowly turning darker to purple red, but keeping the yellow margins. Pink flowers and red fruits. Best in deep moist soil in sun for best colour. Height 1-1½m.
