A well grown specimen can stay in flower all year round. The wild orchids have lots of small flowers rather than a single stem. Keep compost moist but let it dry out slightly between watering. Feed dilute orchid feed every other time you water .Sit pot on a pebble tray to add humidity and mist regularly, avoiding the flowers. Does not like cold draughts.
