'Seika' means 'Sacred Fire'. A new form of 'Sacred Bamboo'. Evergreen to semi-evergreen. Upright, compact, dense growth. New leaves stay bright red for a very long time, maturing to green later. White flowers in terminal panicles in good summers. Any well drained soil in full sun.Best in sheltered position with little wind. Height 70-100cm.
