(Magnolia figo) Magnificent semi-evergreen shrub. Small dark glossy leathery leaves. Flowers are small brown-purple, strongly scented of pear drops produced over spring and summer. Acid soil only. In cold areas grow as a greenhouse or conservatory plant. Height 3m.
