Slow growing dense and twiggy deciduous shrub. One of the finest and most reliable shrubs for autumn colour. Fruits are reddish-purple opening to reveal bright orange-coated seeds. Happy in any soil, particularly chalk, in sun or shade. Height and spread 1-1½m. HARMFUL IF EATEN
