Sea Holly. Large, steely blue cones of flower with prickly collars, June to August. 75cm. Stiff stems with attractive grey-green spiky leaves that are streaked with white. Best in very well-drained, poor to moderately fertile soil in full sun. Give winter protection from wet. Great for attracting bees.
